New Targus Truss Leather Folio

Not so long time ago we’ve published an article about upcoming iPad cases Targus. And finally we’ve got one: Targus Truss leather folio case.
It comes in three colors; beige, brown and black. Outside is the top quality grain leather perfectly stitched to match the color of the soft inner lining. Honestly we don’t like that cyan/blue interior, the color is simply too strong while the stitches outside are just cool. Basically, it goes for other two color variants of this iPad case.
The case itself along with device can be propped/locked into one of two angles (view stands) in order to make both reading and typing more comfortable. Once you frame your tablet with this folio case, no need to take it out because all the ports and buttons are accessible. Elastic secure strap will take care about opening and closing and does the job decently. We don’t dare to say that Targuss Truss will protect your iPad 100%. Why? Because three out of four sides of your device are kinda exposed and not protected. The grip is really good because of that grain texture but the feel is somehow bulky. It could be thinner if that inner lining is not so “fat”. Overall, great product with a price little bit gone to high. However, this is Targus and Targus means guarantee of quality.

Yoobao Leather Folio Case is the best

Is it really the best iPad case on the market? Not exactly, but definitive one of best coming from Chinese manufacturer and winning good reviews. First of all, there are several quite similar folio cases from the same manufacturer; AYL, Yoobao and Yaubau. No big difference in design and construction, so I guess it’s up to you choose a model.
Yoobao is made of real pigskin and has nice, lined up stitches all around the caase. The front cover is supposed to be folded back and secured on a catch-flap which allows the folio case to be stood up. It allows you to position your device in a viewing stand, either horizontally or vertically, or to be laid back for typing. Some version of Yoobao folio case (probably newer versions because our own does not) have an addition secure flap that secures device inside its framing. The snug fit keeps iPad held in place away from the edges which is great, otherwise the right corners may become unprotected.
The leather feels nice in hand while the inside is smooth and affords good protection while closed. However, the main issue is the bezel around the screen. It appears to be thick and so close to the edge that it makes typing in portrait mode difficult. On top of that it’s tough to drag icons between screens because it comes right to the edge of the screen. Overall, Yoobao seems to be durable, appealing and affordable iPad case.

KeyCase iPad Folio with integrated keyboard

Many will say “Why don’t you buy a notebook instead? It’s cheaper!”, which is partially true! iPad prices currently range (depends on model) from $300 to $650 and KeyCase iPad Folio is additional $90. I guess you can’t buy new MacBook for $750 unless you don’t mind buying used from ebay or something. So, it’s your personal choice.
KeyCase iPad Folio has an integrated Bluetooth keyboard and works really nice with your Apple tablet – that’s the fact. For all of you preferring good old fashioned way of text enter this iPad case will be more than useful; simply flap the top/cover, prop up your device and start typing. Otherwise you can start looking for non-integrated keyboard case :)
Currently you can’t buy it officially yet – although UK’s GearZap gives you a chance to make a pre-order (saying the product is out of stock). My personal opinion is that KeyCase will definitely find its place on the market. Not only because of that Bluetooth keyboard but because of all other characteristics. Or maybe that in-case keyboard will become a global trend soon, just take a look how you iPad can look like with ClamCase!

Philips Slim Sleeve case

Not so long time ago Philips released 2 iPad sleeve-like cases one of which is Slim Sleeve. Many other similar products have been presented here but this one is kinda special sleeve. Basically, sleeve-like cases are meant to hold/protect your device from scratches and are mostly carried within another bag or case simply because of the fact they don’t provide enough safety. As opposed to that fact, Slim Sleeve iPad case is quite decent on the go solution.
It has been made of soft but strong neoprene which adds a layer of padded protection to your tablet. Neoprene is coupled with luxurious leatherette (2 layers) for more professional/business look. Inside of this envelope-like sleeve case is a soft lining, providing another layer of protection for your iPad. It feels really soft in hand and the grip is great. In spite of the fact it’s double layered, one would expect it to be kinda bulky but we love it. The only thing we don’t like is delivery time which sometimes exceeds 30 days. Too bad for such a lovely product.

No so long time ago you could read an article on DoDo case for Apple tablet. It seems like there’s another similar product on the market and it comes from Pad and Quill. The truth is that this book-like ipad case has a little bit higher price (currently around $55.00) so let’s analyze why is that for.
