The Famous Elan Passport Review
This product was a direct opponent to Apple’s case when released in March this year. And there are several reasons why Griffin Technology Elan Passport left his opponent far behind. Although we wish this is real leather made product, the price itself will definitely justify an expectation. In spite of the fact it’s made of synthetic faux leather, it looks and feels like the real one: textured but soft and smooth. Perfectly made double stitches outside is what you gonna notice at first. As usually, right hand inner side has been reserved for the tablet itself and there are 4 elastic strap corners supposed to hold it firmly in place. Left side has one large pocket in the front of which are 4 smaller business card slots. Split-like open/close is additionally secured with large centered tab. We also need to mention that when kept inside of this case, 3 sides of your device are kinda too exposed which is good because of an easy access to all buttons/ports. On the other hand, such exposure make an iPad more “vulnerable” to impacts. Everything else is really great about this case – especially the price. If you need relative cheap business folio style case, this is the right choice for you.
- Perfect double stitching
- Professional, business design
- Extra storage – small and big pockets
- Secure tab closure
- No angle adjustment when reading
- Edges are overexposed. However this is folio-like or book-like case and something like that is quite common.
- One of elastic straps covers the orientation lock switch
