Elan Sleeve by Griffin
Not so long time ago we did a review of Griffin’s Elan Passport folio case. No need to say it’s another great product from Griffin, actually all of them are made of top quality materials and have an eye-catching design. Just like its brother, Elan Sleeve for iPad is made of faux leather – outside, and soft gray microsuede lining inside. Design is quite simple. After all, it’s nothing but a sleeve that snugly holds your tablet inside – nothing more, nothing less. The only detail that eventually makes it differ from similar products is a top-mounted pull tab. It can easily eject the device from its “seat” which is a really cool feature. Basically, we don’t recommend this iPad sleeve to be used while on-the-go. Why? Because the top edge is kinda overexposed. The fact is that sleeves are made to be carried within another bag or a case so we didn’t find that “exposed top edge” issue really concerning.
However, there’s another thing worth to be mentioned: outside material has a little bit sticky feel in hands. Probably it’ll disappear with time but we thought it’s good for you to know before buying. Elan Sleeve has currently an acceptable price in Amazon so if anybody is in hunt for sleeve-like iPad protection this might be a good goal.
